Annual Benefit Statements

If you're a deferred member (meaning your LGPS pension is preserved until you claim it), you'll be issued with an Annual Benefit Statement (ABS). It's your go-to snapshot of what you've built up so far and helps you work out what you’d like for your retirement.

What's included in your statement?

  • Your deferred benefits as of 31 March each year
  • A projected pension estimate at your Normal Pension Age (NPA)
  • Any death benefit information (this may include lump sum or survivor pension details).

When and how do you get it?

  • LPF is legally required to issue an ABS by 31 August each year
  • You'll find it in My Pension Online under Annual Benefit Statements
  • You can download a copy to save
  • A paper copy is available on request if you prefer a hard copy.

You should always check your ABS for important information
