When Will My Pension Be Paid?
Once your LGPS pension has been put into payment, it will be paid every month for the rest of your life.
Payment date:
- Your pension is paid in arrears on the 15th of each month
- If the 15th falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment is made on the last working day before
- A very small number of pensioners receive their pension annually, with payment made on or just before 15 March
Payslips and P60s:
- You'll receive a payslip and an annual P60 showing your pension income and tax paid
- These are available online through My Pension Online. They're easy to view, download, and print at home
- Members under the age of 75 (as of 1 January 2020) are automatically enrolled for electronic payslips and P60s
- Members aged 75 or over, or those who have opted out of electronic communications, will continue to receive paper copies by post
- A paper payslip is also sent in April and May, or if your pension amount changes by more than £10.
If you wish to change your preference between digital and paper, please contact LPF.
